Back to my self

I have been using upcycled books in some of my collages over the last few weeks and have found some beautiful quotations. Even cutting along a line of text and selecting two or three words just sitting on their own and they take on a new meaning, or seem to be more intense. At the moment I am using "Cranford" by Elizabeth Cleghorn Gaskell and having read the book first finding these little snippets of words that inspire me gives the story a whole new slant.

What are your favourite quotations?
(I really enjoyed "The Comffy Chair" An interesting story about a road trip taken by three friends to collect a reclining chair)

I think thus far, this is my favorite work of art that you've done. The bird is adorable, the text and mixed media elements all work together so well, and overall, it's just fun to look at. Hurray for collage :)

Beautiful collage! Hmm... I have a lot of favorite quotations. One of them was a post I did this past summer:

In a quiet, pleasant meadow,
