“When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny.” Paulo Coelho
I have been using upcycled books in some of my collages over the last few weeks and have found some beautiful quotations. Even cutting along a line of text and selecting two or three words just sitting on their own and they take on a new meaning, or seem to be more intense. At the moment I am using "Cranford" by Elizabeth Cleghorn Gaskell and having read the book first finding these little snippets of words that inspire me gives the story a whole new slant.
What are your favourite quotations?
(I really enjoyed "The Comffy Chair" An interesting story about a road trip taken by three friends to collect a reclining chair)
