Time passes by

my first biscuits

This weekend disappeared so quickly, it was a wonderful 2 days and I have found some new loves that I want to share with you.

1. This fantastic recipe for Cinnamon Biscuits that I found on little glowing light's blog on Saturday morning. They looked and sounded sooo good I made them that afternoon! I am delighted with the results, so much so there are only 2 left! You see I love cooking but my bo has all the bakery skills of our partnership, my past attempts at cakes have all been rubbish. So you can imagine his disgust when he nipped home from work on Saturday afternoon to find me measuring out flour. But I carried on regardless and what a triumph, especially when accompanying a cup of Chi tea.

2. I been trying to commit to reading at bedtime again, a habit of a life time which fell to the way side when Pablo arrived. I am please to say I am back in the swing of it and flowing through the pages of "Sepulchre" by Kate Mosse, a so far enchanting tale set in one of my favourite cities, Paris.

3. Through my new read I have also found some new music to enjoy, I have discovered the work of Debussy, and have been moved by this track Clair de Lune.

4. I played with some new ideas for some cards and caught 2 flies, using my fail safe technique. Laugh, yes you may, but I have been using the force to catch beesties for the last ten years and it seems to have a running joke amongst my family and friends. They marvel at the way I hypnotize the little creatures and call them to their freedom. So now I feel ready to share this gift with the world, I have drawn up one of my first instruction cards on "How to catch a fly". (Soon to be found on cards.)

5. I spent time with a crazy friend who makes me laugh so hard it hurts.

For me it doesn't get much better than that!

update: I recieved this award today from patti and just wanted to say thank you!

I knew someone years ago who could catch flies - he said that he learned it as a hobby when he was a firefighter, during the boring times sitting around waiting at the station.

And, oh - I'd like one of those biscuits..yum yum

Found you thru Pattie Mosca - yea for friends pointing to others!!

Just wanted to let you know that my boy sometimes reads my comments, and he thought your "bookworms" comment was super cute and witty! ;) Just wanted to pass along the complement! :)

They look yummy!

I too am a nighttime reader, always have been. "Sepulchre" was a great read, as was "Labyrinth".

you are obviously in touch with your ninja side so be a master of fly catching! A useful talent if you have preying mantis for pets - yes, my sons would like them for pets - when we get some i'll try your techniques!

This really made me laugh because this is exactly what I do, but mostly to wasps and bees. Hate killing anything even though I know the blighters will be back in again....lol
