...

Sometimes I feel likeThrowing my hands up in the airI know I can count on you
Sometimes I feel like sayingLord I just don't careBut you've got the love I needTo see me through

Sometimes it seems thatThe going is just too roughAnd things go wrongNo matter what I do
Now and then I feelThat life is just too muchBut you've got the loveI need to see me through

When you wish upon a star

my wishes for 2012

that I find strength
that I find courage

:: my life ::

Large mirror, large reflection by Dr Joanne

I have been so touched today, I am so lucky.
Thank you all you kind girlies who commented on my post yesterday. I feel like I shed a skin yesterday and can move forward. Iset off tonight to do my 2 miles, leggins and comfy pink trainers, only to find the local rugby team training on the rugby field! How dare they, don't they know about my mission? After a little huffing and puffing I decided on a different route and headed on my way. I ended up taking a walk along the river which runs behind our house, bouncing with each step as I sang along to songs from local boy, Paulo Nutini's new album "Sunny Side Up"

What song makes you want to shake your bum today?

weekend love

I have had a quiet, still weekend. The studio is tidy and clean, my desk is clear and my list of the things to do has grown dramatically.
Today I want to hold onto this stillness, tie up loose ends and be soothed by beautiful music.

Time passes by

my first biscuits

This weekend disappeared so quickly, it was a wonderful 2 days and I have found some new loves that I want to share with you.

1. This fantastic recipe for Cinnamon Biscuits that I found on little glowing light's blog on Saturday morning. They looked and sounded sooo good I made them that afternoon! I am delighted with the results, so much so there are only 2 left! You see I love cooking but my bo has all the bakery skills of our partnership, my past attempts at cakes have all been rubbish. So you can imagine his disgust when he nipped home from work on Saturday afternoon to find me measuring out flour. But I carried on regardless and what a triumph, especially when accompanying a cup of Chi tea.

2. I been trying to commit to reading at bedtime again, a habit of a life time which fell to the way side when Pablo arrived. I am please to say I am back in the swing of it and flowing through the pages of "Sepulchre" by Kate Mosse, a so far enchanting tale set in one of my favourite cities, Paris.

3. Through my new read I have also found some new music to enjoy, I have discovered the work of Debussy, and have been moved by this track Clair de Lune.

4. I played with some new ideas for some cards and caught 2 flies, using my fail safe technique. Laugh, yes you may, but I have been using the force to catch beesties for the last ten years and it seems to have a running joke amongst my family and friends. They marvel at the way I hypnotize the little creatures and call them to their freedom. So now I feel ready to share this gift with the world, I have drawn up one of my first instruction cards on "How to catch a fly". (Soon to be found on cards.)

5. I spent time with a crazy friend who makes me laugh so hard it hurts.

For me it doesn't get much better than that!

update: I recieved this award today from patti and just wanted to say thank you!
