I was given "Illuminata" by Marianne in 1999 by my Mum, and then "A course in weight loss" last week. Then today while I was sewing I watched "Aleesha and the bee" and heard this beautiful quote. I didn't realise at the time it was by the same wonderful & wise woman.

This quote has been pinned beside my computer for the last 3 years and it has taken me until this month for me to actually start to blossom. I have stayed stagnent for so many years, through fear. But no more!

I have been using upcycled books in some of my collages over the last few weeks and have found some beautiful quotations. Even cutting along a line of text and selecting two or three words just sitting on their own and they take on a new meaning, or seem to be more intense. At the moment I am using "Cranford" by Elizabeth Cleghorn Gaskell and having read the book first finding these little snippets of words that inspire me gives the story a whole new slant.
