Brushes and droplets

I have spent today at my desk surrounded by paints of various kinds, glue, paper and tissues. With one of my favourite films on as inspiration, Miss Potter, again! ( I must have watched this film at least 5 times now!) The story is beautiful and the work of Beatrix Potter has always brought me such pleasure. So tonight I wanted to share with you some of her wonderful work.

What writers/ illustrators do you have fond memories of?

Oh, I like that movie too! As for fond memories, it has to be the illustrator of the Corduroy books, Don Freeman.

Still haven't seen that film, but I'm sure I will do sometime soon. Some of my favourite illustrators are Jill Barklem who created The Brambly Hedge series, Raymond Briggs, Richard Scarry and of course Quentin Blake.
Oh and my favourite Beatrix Potter character has to be Mrs Tiggy-winkle...lovely XXX

Haven't seen the film yet but I am looking forward to it. Years ago a friend and I visited all the places in Cumbria connected with BP including her home and the museum with all her original illustrations. It was wonderful to see the actual places she painted in her books.
